Yealink T87W Touchscreen Desk Phone
The Yealink T87W is a 7-inch touchscreen desk phone with programmable buttons on the touchscreen, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0, sold and installed by Netexem in Tustin for receptionists and managers across Orange County and Southern California. $249 one-time, or free with a service agreement. Call 714.444.0550 for a quote.
Where a key phone shows ten names, the T87W shows twenty-seven on a screen you tap, with each colleague's status in colour. This page covers the specs, the desks it is built for, the setup steps people search for, and how it stacks up against the T77U, T85W and T88V Pro.

Who the T87W is for
The front desk of a busy practice or firm, and the manager who routes calls across a whole team. Every colleague gets a named key on the screen, so a transfer is one tap and a glance shows who is already on a call. The large screen also suits anyone who finds small phone text hard to read. A desk that handles a handful of lines is better matched, and better priced, with the T74W.
Yealink T87W quick guide
The steps people look up most, in plain words. Menu names match the T87W's own screen.
How to connect a Yealink T87W to Wi-Fi
- Tap Menu > Basic > Wi-Fi.
- Turn Wi-Fi On and tap Save; the phone lists the networks in range.
- Tap your network, tap Connect, type the password on the screen keyboard and tap OK. The Wi-Fi icon shows in the status bar once connected.
On Wi-Fi the phone needs the $5 power adapter, since no cable means no PoE. For a desk this busy we still recommend a cable.
How to pair a Bluetooth headset with a Yealink T87W
- Put the headset in pairing mode.
- Tap Menu > Basic > Bluetooth, turn Bluetooth On and tap Scan.
- Tap the headset in the list to connect it. The Bluetooth icon appears at the top of the screen.
Pair your cell phone the same way to see its contacts on the T87W and take a cell call through the desk phone's handset.
How to factory reset a Yealink T87W
- With the phone idle, press and hold the Redial key until the phone asks whether to reset to factory settings, then confirm.
- From the menu instead: Menu > Advanced (default password admin) > Reset Config > Reset to Factory Settings.
- Leave the phone powered on until it has fully restarted.
Note: A Netexem T87W sets itself up again after a reset: back on the network, it downloads its settings and returns with your extension, keys and voicemail. Call 714.444.0550 first; most problems are fixed remotely.
How to use the touchscreen buttons on a Yealink T87W
- Netexem labels the buttons with your colleagues' names before the phone arrives; green means free, red means on a call, flashing means ringing.
- Tap a name to call that person; tap it during a call to transfer the caller straight to them.
- Swipe to the next screen of buttons when you have more than fit on one screen, or add a key module for more.
Voicemail, call forwarding, hold, conference calls and intercom work the same on every Netexem phone; see the Netexem phone system user guide.
The full Yealink manual covers every feature; the T87W datasheet lists the specifications. Netexem customers can simply call 714.444.0550 and we walk you through it.

Yealink T87W questions
How much is the Yealink T87W from Netexem?
$249 one-time per phone on the month-to-month plan, or included free with a service agreement. Phone service is $19.99 or $29.99 per user per month, fixed, with free installation, training and number porting and no long-term contract.
What is the difference between the Yealink T87W and T77U?
Both have a 7-inch touchscreen with programmable buttons on screen. The T87W is the newer T8 series with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 built in; the T77U is wired, with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth available through USB dongles, and costs $50 less.
Does the Yealink T87W support PoE?
Yes. A PoE switch powers it through the network cable. On Wi-Fi, or without PoE, it needs the power adapter, which Netexem supplies for $5.
Can the Yealink T87W be wall mounted?
Yes, with the optional wall-mount bracket, and the touchscreen tilts so it stays readable on a wall. Tell us when you order and the technician mounts it during the install.
Who installs the Yealink T87W?
A Netexem technician from our Tustin office installs it on site anywhere in Orange County and Southern California, labels the buttons with your team's names and trains your staff on install day. If you install yourself, we ship it to your office anywhere in the US; it sets itself up when plugged in and we guide you by phone or screen share.
