Yealink T33G Desk Phone

The Yealink T33G is an entry-level colour desk phone with a 2.4-inch screen, 4 programmable buttons and Gigabit ports, for $70 or free with a service agreement, sold and installed by Netexem in Tustin for offices across Orange County and Southern California. Call 714.444.0550 for a quote.

It is the wired twin of the T34W: identical screen, buttons and menus, without the Wi-Fi and USB port, for $10 less. Where every desk has a network cable, that is the better buy. Below are the specs, who it suits, the setup steps people look up, and how it compares with the T34W, T31P and T73W.

Who the T33G is for

Rows of cabled desks in an office, a call-handling team where every seat is the same, a classroom or a counter: anywhere a colour screen and a few colleague keys are enough and a cable is already in the wall. The Gigabit pass-through port means the computer behind it keeps full speed, so one wall jack serves both. A desk that moves around or sits in a room with no cable wants the T34W; one that only needs to ring and answer can save $20 with the T31P.

Yealink T33G quick guide

The steps people look up most, in plain words. Menu names match the T33G's own screen.

How to factory reset a Yealink T33G

  1. With the phone idle, press and hold the OK key until it asks whether to reset to factory settings, then confirm.
  2. From the menu instead: Menu > Settings > Advanced Settings (default password admin) > Reset Config > Reset to Factory Settings > Reset > OK.
  3. Leave it powered on until it has restarted completely.

Note: A Netexem T33G sets itself up again after a reset: back on the network, it downloads its settings and returns with your extension, keys and voicemail. Call 714.444.0550 first; most problems are fixed remotely.

How to find the IP address of a Yealink T33G

  1. With the phone idle, press the OK key, or go to Menu > Status.
  2. The IPv4 address is on the first line of the status screen, with the firmware version below it.

You only need this to open the phone's web page from a computer on the same network. On Netexem service we handle that for you.

How to use a headset with a Yealink T33G

  1. Plug a wired headset into the RJ9 headset port on the back of the phone (the one with the headset icon), not the handset port.
  2. Press the headset key; its light comes on and calls now go to the headset. Press it again to go back to the handset.
  3. For a Yealink wireless headset, add the EHS35 adapter so the headset's own button answers and ends calls.

The T33G has no USB or Bluetooth, so a USB or Bluetooth headset needs the T34W or T73W instead.

How to wall mount a Yealink T33G

  1. Take off the desk stand and screw the optional wall bracket to the back of the phone.
  2. Feed the network cable through the bracket, then hook the phone onto two wall screws.
  3. Flip the little tab under the handset rest so the handset stays put when the phone hangs vertically.

Mention the wall mount when you order and the technician brings the bracket along.

Voicemail, call forwarding, hold, conference calls and intercom work the same on every Netexem phone; see the Netexem phone system user guide.

The full Yealink manual covers every feature; the T33G datasheet lists the specifications. Netexem customers can simply call 714.444.0550 and we walk you through it.

T73W: $119

The next step up: a 2.8-inch screen, 8 buttons, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, for a desk that transfers calls all day.

Yealink T33G questions

How much is the Yealink T33G from Netexem?

$70 one-time per phone on the month-to-month plan, or included free with a service agreement. Phone service is $19.99 or $29.99 per user per month, fixed, with free installation, training and number porting and no long-term contract.

What is the difference between the Yealink T33G and T34W?

Wi-Fi and USB. The T34W adds dual-band Wi-Fi and a USB port for $10 more; the T33G is the same 2.4-inch colour phone with 4 buttons and Gigabit ports for a desk that always has a cable.

Does the Yealink T33G have Gigabit Ethernet?

Yes. Both of its network ports are Gigabit, so a computer plugged into the phone's PC port keeps its full speed. The cheaper T31P has 10/100 ports.

What is the default password on a Yealink T33G?

The factory default admin password is admin, for the phone's Advanced Settings menu and its web page. On Netexem service the default voicemail password is 1234#; change it after your first login.

Who installs the Yealink T33G?

A Netexem technician from our Tustin office installs it on site anywhere in Orange County and Southern California and trains your staff on install day. If you install yourself, we ship the phones to your office anywhere in the US; the phone sets itself up when plugged in and we guide you by phone or screen share.
